Reflection
Despite how hectic it was, I must admit that it was a very interesting experience during my placement. It had made me realize what the teachers actually do behind the scenes and certainly it was more than just marking their homework. All lessons must be precisely planned so that they will go smoothly, and of course a lot of patience is needed.

Day 1
Never knew that Mr. Crews has so much confidence in me, he assigned me to assist the students, I have to walk around the students as they are working on their Math problems displayed on the projector. The approach is to create a sense of trust and instill confidence in the students to ask questions and to readily accept their mistakes.
Irdina and I have to assist in formulating chocolate concoctions for their IPC topic. we were tasked to set the environment, ladle the chocolate drinks to the students and to monitor them. As fun as it appeared to be, this perhaps does reflect how the students were feeling, maybe they just generally love confectionery that they paid attention to the detail more. Also, I have to be prepared for whatever questions they asked because, they do have a handful of questions for you.

Day 2
The first thing we have to do once we get there is to assist the teachers as much as possible. It is help pasting laminated papers in Ms. Rhian's class, since yesterday's IPC topic was about chocolate, I have to paste on the topic of the week as well as the students' work on the board to display their progress to their parents.
Ms. Rhian teaches the mastering class when it comes to Mathematics and the topic today is subtraction. The difference that I notice between hers and Mr. Crews' class is that they are more capable to solving the puzzles and questions with lesser help from the Beginning class and the questions are apparently more complex than the beginning class. And to further challenge the students, she even gives them a mini assignment which involves the students to be in pairs to finish the job- the questions are much trickier than their warm-up exercises and one of the two has to demonstrate the answering whereas the other has to record the whole process. The students have been equipped with the knowledge to utilize imovie to edit the videos to make it interesting.
Then, it is guided reading. I have tasked to monitor as well as guiding the student's reading tempo alongside their pronunciation. And in between these periods, I have been tasked to cut and laminate papers by Ms. Jenny, she explains that due to the work on display policy, these decorations are also meant for their parents to view their works and hence presentation is important too.

The teachers believe that laminated paper will at least preserve most of the quality of the papers thus, we decided to make our attempt at laminating as much papers as possible resulting the laminator has decided to break down. So we've spent half of our existence today in the library where the laminator is more friendly and enthusiastic. From this, it gives me the idea that we have to be resourceful to find any solutions as quickly as efficient as possible.
Day 4
We are to continue with our mass lamination plans. Irdina and I were scarred by the laminating incident and again, we were granted the permission to seek refuge from the library's laminator. Aside from that, I have to assist the students in giving them ideas on their chosen character in Language Arts period. Most of the students are not confident in their character portrayal- one of them has to be Sherlock Holmes as they interview the characters such as Harry Potter, Moana and Luke Skywalker. Most of the students are not happy with the choice of characters given to them, with Ms. Jenny's advice I told them that they are allowed to choose other characters who are not of the 3 chosen characters that Ms. Rhian gave. Again, this experience today shows that I must be flexible, however, the reason why I am not as flexible is due to the fact that I fear that I might disrupt the teacher's ideas and plans, Ms. Jenny proved otherwise- as long as they are provoked to learn and participate, then I should take the risk.
